The Pollution Prevention Institute operates the Kansas Small Business Environmental Assistance Program (SBEAP). This program was established as a result of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 and our mission is to help smaller businesses (100 employees or less) assess their environmental compliance responsibilities (primarily air and waste) and identify pollution prevention (P2) opportunities.
Free, confidential assistance is provided by by phone or at individual business facilities. SBEAP specialists evaluate all operations to identify gaps in environmental compliance and make recommendations on improvements that can be made. Businesses are not obligated in any way and compliance gaps are not reported to the regulatory agency.
