Trainer-the-Trainer--Food Recovery and Strategic Communications Workshop

K-State Pollution Prevention Institute, with funding from USDA Rural Utilities Service, is partnering with Kansas Alliance for Wellness to conduct train-the-trainer workshops on minimizing food waste generation and diverting unused/unwanted food away from landfills. Training will promote EPA’s hierarchy of food recovery which lists donating food to food-insecure populations as one of its top solutions. The workshop will feature training on strategic communications including advocacy, marketing, and messaging. These skills can be applied in your community when conducting public campaigns advocating for food system policies. A copy of the agenda can be found here.

No cost to attend and lunch using locally sourced ingredients will be provided.
