SBEAP is hosting a webinar about our new tool that calculates rolling 12-month totals or averages for individual permit limits and compares quarterly totals to the permit limits.
This tool was developed to assist sources with general Class II operating permits containing limitations on hours of operation, process throughput, material usage, material purchased, fuel usage, or other numerical limits with which the source must maintain a record of the 12-month consecutive total or a 12-month consecutive average of actual operational parameters to compare to the permit limit(s).
In addition, this tool is designed to calculate the past four calendar quarters, including the most recent calendar quarter, to demonstrate that the actual operations have not exceeded 85% of the operational limitations as is required by Kansas Administrative Regulation (K.A.R.) 28-19-501(c)(1) contained in all Class II operating permits.
This tool may also be used by any source, including Class I sources, that have a limitation based on hours of operation, process throughput, material usage, fuel usage, or other numerical limits with which the source must maintain a 12-month consecutive total or a 12-month consecutive average of actual operational parameters to compare to the permit limit(s).
