DEA National Prescription Take Back Day

DEA Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. several local agencies and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will provide the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal at one of hundreds of site across the country.

For more information, visit the Drug Take Back Day website.

Do you want to learn more or request someone speak to your community group about the importance of safe drug disposal as a way to prevent drug abuse and keep toxics out of our landfills?  With funding from the USDA, the Pollution Prevention Institute (PPI) is able to offer education and outreach sessions to various communities in Kansas and Missouri. With a focus on rural community access to safe drug and sharps disposal options, PPI can provide your community with assistance. To learn more,  email Leena Divakar or call 800-578-8898.
