The K-State Pollution Prevention Institute led the Green Hotels - 101 training for the Hotel & Lodging Assocation of Greater Kansas City on September 20, 2012. This training included discussion on what it means to be “Green”, why “Green” practices are important, and how they can save lodging facilities money. Primary topics included: environmental footprints, “green” lodging practices for water, energy, and waste, environmental management statements, case studies, and resources that are available to get lodging facilities started.
